Valley Mall Comprehensive Traffic Analysis

The Transpo Group assisted with the development of a comprehensive transportation impact analysis for the ongoing expansion of the Spokane Valley Mall. In particular, this study addressed the transportation impacts of a 12-screen movie theatre, six restaurants, more than 200,000 square feet of new commercial/retail development, two hotels, and several thousand square feet of office space located within the mall site and opposite the mall site on Indiana Avenue, Evergreen Road, and Sprague Avenue.

Valley mallThe project required extensive analysis of forecast traffic conditions between Pines Road (west), Sullivan Road (east) Indiana Avenue (north), and Mission Avenue (south). This included an evaluation and recommendations for the Evergreen Interchange, the Mission Avenue connector, and the Sullivan Loop ramp. Several intensive meetings were required with the public, Spokane County, and the State to gain project approvals. Several of the businesses addressed by this study have been constructed with several more planned in the future.
