Highway 41 Corridor Study |
Transpo led a multi-disciplinary team to develop a land use, transportation, and access management plan along a six-mile corridor of state highway near Post Falls, Idaho.
The plan defined appropriate, compatible land uses; introduced alternative access options; incorporated an aesthetic overlay plan, corridor design policies, and design guidelines; and provided a separated pedestrian and bicycle trail. Six local, state, and federal agencies directed the project. Issues ranged from traffic safety and operations to maintaining farm and resource lands. A newly created policy and implementation guideline now assists five agencies with future development and overall design parameters.
