Jovita Boulevard Widening

Transpo assisted in the reconstruction and widening of the Jovita Boulevard/114th Street E intersection in Edgewood, WA.  Improvements extended approximately 500 feet in each direction of the intersection and included the addition of left-turn lanes; channelization improvements, drainage improvements, slope stabilization, creek protection, groundwater and contaminated soils considerations, curbs and gutters; sidewalks; illumination design; and design and installation of a new traffic signal.

Transpo assisted the City with project mitigation including public involvement, right-of-way and easement acquisition negotiations, parcel mitigation for both construction and easement related impacts, channelization, project documentation, and compliance closeout. The project also included inspection services for the traffic signal installation. Work involved extensive coordination with property owners and tenants, City Council, City staff, funding agencies, and mitigation contractors.
