Lincoln Creek Transportation Center

Transpo recently completed transportation engineering services associated with the planning and preliminary design of an 800-stall transit center in Bellingham.  Transpo assisted the project team in the development of vision and goals for the site master plan and the development of several concept alternatives.  Transpo led the traffic analysis and traffic design tasks, enabling the project team to assess, compare and estimate costs associated with off-site and site access impacts.

Lincoln CreekIn addition, Transpo used Autoturn to develop appropriate on-site and ingress/egress facilities for transit, and Parkcad to develop parking lot configurations designed to optimize the use of space on-site.  Transpo assisted the project team in reviewing and proposing pedestrian circulation routes in and around the site and participated in neighborhood public meetings.  The deliverables provided by Transpo included a transportation study for inclusion in NEPA/SEPA documentation, and preliminary signal, illumination, signing and striping plans and estimates for the preferred concept.  The project’s owner is currently pursuing funding for final design from the Federal Transit Administration.
