NE 85th Street ITS Corridor Improvements

Transpo is providing traffic engineering services for improvements planned in the Rose Hill Business District in Kirkland.  The project improvements will provide for 7’ minimum sidewalks, 6.5’ wide planter strips with trees, street lighting and decorative pedestrian lighting along NE 85th Street (north and south sides) between I-405 and 132nd Ave NE. 

The project includes transit signal priority (TSP), illumination (street and pedestrian), and signal modifications at NE 85th Street and 114th Ave NE/124th Ave NE/132nd Ave NE.  Transpo will recommend the type of controllers, antennas and other TSP system elements needed between 114th Avenue and 132nd Avenue.  Transpo is also designing TSP systems at the 114th, 124th and 132nd intersections.
