Senior Transportation Engineer - Design Specialty

Qualifications:

• Degree in Civil Engineering

• Active PE license for 5+ years, ability to register in WA

• Excellent project management and client relations skills

• Proven success in related business development

• Effective mentoring and team leadership skills

• 8-10+ years transportation engineering experience, preferably consulting to public and private clients in the Northwest in one or more of the following areas:
  
  
  • Layout and design of traffic signal and illumination systems; includingelectrical design and illumination calculations.
  • Roadway geometric design; including design of roadwaychannelization and the evaluation of vehicle turning templates androadway sight distance requirements.
  • Feasibility, constructability, evaluation, and design of roundaboutsand traffic calming measures.
  • ITS system evaluation, design, and deployment strategies pertaining tofiber optics, variable message signs (VMS), data collection, travelerinformation systems, and Traffic Management Centers (TMC).
  • Preparation of traffic control plans, construction inspection, preparation of cost estimates, and the preparation of as-built drawings related to traffic signal, illumination, channelization, and ITS systems.
